No bull about it.

Perfect Bull is the first foal out of Canterbury Oaks (turf) and Iowa Stallion Stakes (dirt) winner Perfect Moment. His sire is Holy Bull, Horse of The Year in 1994 and the sire of Kentucky Derby hero Giacomo as well as Juvenille Champion Macho Uno.

Renowned pedigree advisor Les Brinsfield, known respectfully as King Les, consulted on the mating that produced Perfect Moment. While the crew at Red Dog Stables is well accomplished at the art of breeding cats (open the door and let them out), they wisely contacted Mr. Brinsfield for guidance when Perfect Moment concluded her racing career.

The mating of Holy Bull to Perfect Moment brings together serveral important travelers in their respective pedigrees. Both sire and dam are outcrosses, with neither carrying a strain of Northern Dancer, Mr. Prospector or Bold Ruler. Yet it is mares with that type of pedigree that Holy Bull has sired many of his best runners. This colt was bred to be a perfect running machine, that's no bull.
