Twenty three year-olds are poised to enter the starting gate for the Run for the Roses. As the classic ten furlong test unfolds it will question their speed and stamina, pedigree and past performances. As they turn for home at the top of the stretch they will face the roar of 150,000 strong, echoed by millions around the world. Down the stretch they will chase what has often eluded the best bred, the swiftest, and the favorites. For this challenge is fought with grit and determination, heart and desire. Nineteen colts and a filly will leave the gate for the 134th Kentucky Derby, one will enter the history books.
